Support at Christmas time – December 2018

Christmas is traditionally a time for sharing and we are delighted this year to be making donations to two very deserving charitable organisations as chosen by our team; The Haven (Wolverhampton) and Weston Hospicecare.

The Haven Wolverhampton supports women and dependent children who are vulnerable to domestic violence, homelessness and abuse.

Set up in 1973, The Haven Wolverhampton is a charitable organisation which provides both practical and emotional support; it is one of the largest refuge providers in the UK.

Their vision is for all women and children to live in a society free from oppression, homelessness, violence and abuse, and to promote and uphold human rights.

Weston Hospiccare provides palliative care for people living with a life-limiting illness in the Weston-super-mare area.

With a team of dedicated professionals who work both in their hospice and out in the community, they strive to ensure that people can be treated and cared for both physically and emotionally in their place of choice, be that at the hospice, in their own home or in a care home.

Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, complementary therapists, chaplain and counsellors all work together to provide those they care for with excellent professional care, which is also supported by a wonderful team of dedicated and experienced volunteers.
