Exceptional results achieved by AWT RO – September 2015

Faced with a challenging and inconsistent incoming water quality AllWater Technologies were recently requested to provide equipment to guarantee a treated water quality of 10 µS/cm² for new client, Turbine Surface Technologies (TST).

TST, a joint venture owned equally by Chromalloy and Rolls-Royce, provide anti-corrosion and thermal barrier coatings for aero engine turbine components and consistent high quality is critical.

Incorporating existing pre-treatment and ancillaries to ensure the most cost-effective solution, an AWT Reverse Osmosis System providing 3m³/hour of high quality water to service was specified. This unit, designed and built in-house, provides TST with a high level of functionality and control and also benefits from requiring only a small footprint for installation.

Polishing cylinders were added to ensure a guaranteed final quality and to take account of possible fluctuations in the incoming supply and, to date, the system has consistently been providing an average quality of 6µS/cm².
