Coming in to land – July 2019

Whilst the world rubs its eyes in disbelieve that it is now 50 years since man set foot on the moon for the very first time, here at AWT we have been overseeing a few successful landings of our own!

Tanks of all shapes and sizes (ranging in capacity from 4m³ to 55m³) manufactured in the UK & Germany, to serve dosing, balancing, transfer, reaction and settlement began to arrive in fast succession, and as they did, so the extensive planning came together perfectly with cranes at the ready and gentle manoeuvring into place.

It was nonetheless a great relief to see everything gently fit into place on a beautiful still & sunny day in Lancashire (The first such summer day at site for some time!)

As M&E installations continue in the new dedicated ‘Tank Farm’ and associated new buildings, this new Effluent Treatment Plant is coming together and should be in full operation just a little later in the year.
