AWT Family BBQ – August 2019

Ever hopeful that the sun would shine, the AWT team and their families recently enjoyed an afternoon of great food, local beverages and the odd silly game at the Railway Inn (the home of the famous Thatcher’s Brewery).

Once full with burgers, hotdogs, pulled pork baps and corn cobs attention turned to more important things.

As competitive as ever, great attention was given to the possibility of winning and being crowned Champion of the Cheeses (you could have heard a pin drop whilst everyone scrabbled to unscrambled the cheesy anagrams), Connect Four Maestro (Service Director, John Nicholson may well have met his match!) or Bingo Victor.

A great time was had by all with spirits high despite the occasional summer downpour (and perhaps slightly helped by a glass or two of the apple nectar!)
